Who We Are
We’re two brothers who do it right.
Happy Slab Coatings is a family-run garage floor coating company in Granbury, Texas. We started it because the floors out here deserved better, and so did the people paying for them.
Our Story
Started in a Granbury garage.
The first floor we coated was Kason’s own garage in Granbury. We ground it, repaired the cracks, broadcast the flake, and sealed it. Neighbors started asking who did the work.
That’s the whole story. Around Granbury, Weatherford, Stephenville, Glen Rose, and Aledo, nice homes and shops sit on bare, stained concrete, and few local crews do this work right. We decided to be the crew that does.
When you call, an owner picks up. Kason comes out to look at your floor himself and gives you a straight price before anyone starts.

Kason Fornes
President
Kason brings a financial-management and small-business background to Happy Slab Coatings. He previously served as a District Financial Manager for Penske Truck Rental, managing budgets, financial reporting, and operations across a district. That experience carries straight into running a disciplined, cash-flow-focused business.
He then moved into real estate, and over the past two and a half years has owned and operated a rental portfolio of two short-term rentals and one long-term rental in Stephenville. He is also the founder and owner of Elysian Vacation Rentals, a short-term rental management company that currently manages 16 listings and is growing. Along the way he has remodeled several homes, picking up the hands-on construction and finishing skills that carry directly into the coating trade. At Happy Slab he leads finances, sales, marketing, and residential lead generation.
Keaton Fornes
Vice President of Operations
Keaton brings a business-to-business and field-operations background to Happy Slab Coatings. He has worked in commercial and industrial construction and services and held business-development and technical-sales roles, building a network of relationships across North Texas.
As Vice President of Operations he leads field operations, scheduling, and the hiring and training of the company’s W2 crews, and he owns on-site quality and customer satisfaction. His commercial background also opens a second market for us: larger commercial and industrial coating projects that complement the residential work.
Both owners have personally invested in the business and are all in on its growth.

Most contractor complaints come down to the no-show and the unreturned call. We built Happy Slab around the fix. You get a real person, a set schedule, and a callback.
We leave it cleaner than we found it.
Grinding concrete is dusty work. We contain the dust, vacuum it up, and wipe down what we touch. When we pull out of your driveway, the only thing different is the floor.
We don’t cut the prep.
Most failed floors come from a skipped grind or a rushed cure. We grind the slab, fix the cracks, and let each stage set up before the next. Prep is the job.
We price it straight.
