Epoxy flake vs. polished concrete
Epoxy isn’t the only commercial floor worth considering, and you should know the other option before you spend the money.
Polished concrete is the slab itself, ground and densified to a sheen. There’s no coating on top, which means there’s nothing to delaminate, chip, or lift. It suits big-box retail, warehouses, and showrooms where the slab is sound and you want the lowest long-term maintenance.
Epoxy flake puts a new surface on the concrete. You get color, a fully sealed floor, real chemical resistance, and a finish that hides wear. It suits shops, kitchens, light industrial, and anywhere the slab is stained or the surface needs to resist what gets spilled on it.

Two honest limits
